Stuffing life with too many obligations is like smothering a flame from getting any oxygen.

Imagine life as a cozy fireplace, its flames dancing with warmth and light. Now, picture yourself eagerly piling on logs, one after another, in an attempt to keep the fire burning brighter and hotter. But as you heap on more and more, something unexpected happens. Instead of enhancing the flames, you find that the fire begins to struggle, suffocating under the weight of excessive fuel. In this struggle, the flame's vitality diminishes until it's barely flickering, starved of the very oxygen it needs to thrive.

In the same way, when we burden our lives with too many obligations, responsibilities, and commitments, we inadvertently smother the vibrant energy that fuels our existence. Just as the fire needs oxygen to flourish, we require space, freedom, and simplicity to truly live. Each additional obligation we add is like another log on the fire, potentially overwhelming our capacity to manage, enjoy, and grow from our experiences.

Consider the analogy of a gardener tending to a delicate plant. Too much water can drown the roots, too little can cause them to wither. Similarly, an excess of obligations can drown our spirit, leaving us feeling depleted and disconnected from the essence of life itself. It's about finding the right balance, nurturing our responsibilities while also allowing room for spontaneity, joy, and self-care.

So, how can we ensure that we don't smother the flame of our lives with too many obligations?
